Is That a Brisket Reuben?

Yes it is!

I got a tip on Instagram that Sour Duck Market had a special going on. All she sent me was the sign, but that was enough to get me up and driving in to give it a try.

No lie, this was a stellar sandwich. The remoulade and sauerkraut taste amazing with their succulent brisket. Did I mention there’s queso on it? No? There’s queso.

Honestly I’m not one of those people that says everything’s better with queso. Having said that, this is decadent with queso.

I hope I”m not making it sound like this is too rich, either. Sure there’s queso and moist brisket on a buttered bread. But the balance between that and the sauerkraut and remoulade develop into a perfect sandwich.

I did get a comment on Instagram that they shouldn’t call it a reuben. You know what? I don’t even care. They can call this sandwich Buford for all I care. I’ll still eat it and love it. Besides, it had sauerkraut.
