Bird Bird Biscuit

Bird Bird Biscuit has been on my radar for months so when they finally announced their opening date, I had to stop in.

I must admit that I do feel a little guilty because Elisabeth has been wanting to go there as well but she was out of town on opening day. But I woke up starving and just craving biscuits. It was impossible to resist. I hope she’ll forgive me, but the good news is that we’ll be back.

This space is bright and open, although a but small, especially if it gets crowded and a line forms up. Fortunately the food comes out fast so there shouldn’t be too many people waiting. But let’s talk about the biscuit.

I’ve said many times that I’m a bit of a biscuit aficionado so I was anxious to try these out. They definitely do not disappoint. They’re light and flaky and melt in your mouth. They also hold up well to all the ingredients in your sandwich. There’s no problem here with disintegrating biscuits you can get when they’re flaky and buttery. They’ve found the sweet spot.

I had some fried chicken in mine and it was perfectly done. They honey had just enough spice to keep it interesting and the bacon mayo kept it from being too sweet. Zero complaints. My only complaint now is finding time to bring Elisabeth to eat here.

There are worse problems to have.
